This private community founded in 1915 is the home of the Mountain Lake Colony House, which has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It now serves as the community’s inn and clubhouse. The community also features the Seth Raynor golf course, which was built in 1916 and is now considered one of Florida’s oldest private golf courses.
  • Other attractions in Lake Wales include the Depot Museum, the Hotel Grand, and Spook Hill –a gravity hill where cars appear to be rolling uphill.
