Auburndale Real Estate FL

Auburndale is a historic city located right at the heart of Central Florida. Founded in 1880, Auburndale has overcome many major setbacks, including two fires that razed it to the ground, to become the progressive small city that it is today.

In 1992, Auburndale was named a Florida Main Street by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, paving the way for the revitalization of its downtown area and of the city itself. As a result, Auburndale today is a delightful mix of thriving businesses, newly developed dining and retail strips, and well-preserved historical homes and landmarks.

Auburndale FL Homes

When you enter Auburndale, you will be greeted by picture-pretty streets lined by lushly landscaped sidewalks and medians, as well as low to midrise buildings in traditional architectural styles. The citrus groves that have been historically linked with Florida can still be found here, along with citrus packing plants and warehouses. All these give the city a homey, small town feel that makes it perfect for family living.

Underneath this seemingly slow-paced exterior is a vital community that prides itself on its strong united spirit and growing economy. Some of the businesses that call Auburndale home are Coca Cola North America, Florida Brewery, Cantex, and Comcar Industries. In addition to these big names, Auburndale is also home to many small businesses supported by non-profit local organizations and city government economic development programs.

Auburndale is ideal for people who love sports and outdoor activities, thanks to the many parks and sports and leisure facilities maintained by the city, including the sprawling Lake Myrtle Sports Park. It also boasts a city beach along Lake Ariana, as well as 4 miles of water where you can go fishing, boating, swimming, and more.

A number of lakeside properties are pool homes with private docks, while others offer access to community amenities that include fishing and boating piers, swimming pools, clubhouses, and more.

Auburndale also features historic homes built from the late 1800s to the mid 1900s, some of which are available as rentals. Many of these homes have been wonderfully preserved over the years, but there are also a number that have great potential as restoration projects.
